Plena de Puerto Rico

Alejandro is a highly trained dancer and choreographer from Hatillo, Puerto Rico. After working as a contracted artist, he joined the Global Education Center staff, where he serves multiple roles including the director of dance, studio manager, and artistic director of Helios World Dance Ensemble.

Apart from this, he continues to teach, choreograph, and perform in Nashville, and has created a special dance program for Quinceañeras. Alejandro holds a BA in Industrial Management/Human Resources and a Minor in Education. His dance training encompasses multiple styles like Musical Theater, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Latin, Ballroom, and Ballet. He trained at four renowned academies in Puerto Rico.

Alejandro founded and directed the first College Dance Team in Puerto Rico to receive a full university tuition scholarship. He was selected among 50 teachers to provide dance workshops in Connecticut. He also started his own performing arts studio, the Imagination Performing Arts Studio in Mayagüez, PR, where students could develop their own musicals.

Despite a successful career as a Healthcare Training Manager, Alejandro decided to join Global Education Center full time to further pursue his passion for dance and positively influence others’ lives through it.
