Paulo Oliveira Brazilian Quartet

A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Oliveira has performed in South America, Europe, and across the United States. Oliveira has won awards in Brazil and the United States. Paulo Oliveira has appeared in Missouri Symphony’s Hot Summer Nights Pops Series. With the University of Missouri Concert Jazz Band, he performed and recorded with renowned musicians, including Christian McBride, Jimmy Greene, John Clayton, Randy Brecker, Sean Jones, and Mike Manieri. Paulo is the coordinator of guitar studies at Belmont University and received the Doctorate in guitar from the University of Colorado Boulder. His Brazilian Quartet performs a wide variety of Brazilian music, including composers such as Tom Jobim, João Bosco, Mauricio Eihorn, Ivan Lins, Djavan, among others.
