Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Luis comes from a family of artists and carries a rich musical heritage as the grandson of the renowned tango singer Eduardo “el negro” Rodriguez. His journey began at the age of six as a soloist in the “Coro De Niños de la Universidad de Guayaquil” and grew into an impressive career that has taken him around the world.

As a tenor soloist, Luis has performed in countries like Venezuela, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Poland, and Italy, including a memorable debut in the symphonic-choral work “La misa popular ecuatoriana.” He gained national fame as a finalist on Ecuador’s version of The Voice in 2016 and was later nominated for Tropical Pop Artist of the Year in 2022 for his hit song “Lo Siento.”

Now based in Tennessee, Luis Ernesto continues to share his passion for music, blending traditional Ecuadorian sounds with a modern flair.
