For the first time, Nashville welcomes the 1st International Storytelling Festival – ContArte Nashville 2025! As part of this exciting cultural event, Plaza Mariachi will host a special Book Fair on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM, bringing together literature lovers, storytellers, and families for a day filled with captivating stories, live performances, and interactive activities.

🌎 A Cultural Celebration of Storytelling
Join us as renowned storytellers from Cuba, Venezuela, Colombia, Costa Rica, and the United States come together to share the art of storytelling, connecting cultures through the power of words.

🌟 Special Guest: Guatemalan Author & Composer Marta Albarracín
We welcome Marta Albarracín, a Nashville-based author and composer, as the Guest of Honor at the Book Fair.

📖 Event Highlights:
🔹 10 AM – Storytime with Ms. Pat (Children’s Tent)

• Enjoy engaging storytelling by Ms. Pat from the Nashville Public Library, perfect for young readers!

🔹 11 AM – 1 PM – Main Stage Celebration

• Live performances by national and international storytellers
• Literary contest awards ceremony
• Special guests: Ballet Folklórico Sol de México, Marta Albarracín, and Arte y Movimiento por la Paz

🔹 1:30 PM – Featured Author Session (Children’s Tent)

• Marta Albarracín presents her book “Mi Regalo”

🔹 2 PM – Writing Workshop (Workshop Area)

• “A Proven Method to Write Your Book This Year in 4 Steps”
• Instructor: Lluvia Agustín

🔹 4 PM – 6 PM – Oral Storytelling Workshop (Final Session) (Club Lounge, Plaza Mariachi)

• “From Anecdote to Story: Create Your Own Tale”
