Back to School
Back to School will return on July 31, 2021 at Plaza Mariachi. The Back to School event is organized by the Hispanic Family Foundation in cooperation with their generous sponsors including Amerigroup, Beaman, Hipotecasa, Activa 1240 AM -105.1 FM, La Ranchera 880 AM, Vanderbilt University, PRMG, Rhythm Health Tennessee, and Cricket.
The annual Back to School event provides school utensils and backpacks to local families in the community.

Engage Middle Tennessee with Brentwood Baptist Church
May 1, 2021
Plaza Mariachi in collaboration with Engage Middle Tennessee hosted a Dia de los Niños event on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in the Plaza Mariachi green area. This event featured a family-friendly afternoon with a recreation zone including: inflatable soccer darts, inflatable football and baseball activities, a 3 on 3 soccer and basketball hoops. There was also a soft play area for the younger ones of bouncing horses, jump ropes, large connect 4 games and large jenga. Aside from these activities there was also a place for people to get henna or arm painting, a kids kitchen activity, story time and a “make your mark” art station, balloons, caricaturists, etc. There were sets of international music, food trucks, raffles and booths set up from local organizations. Plaza Mariachi in partnership with the Hispanic Family Foundation has hosted various food drives throughout the year as a way of helping families in our community during these challenging times.
COMMUNITY BABY SHOWER
Plaza Mariachi in partnership with the Hispanic Family Foundation hosted a community baby shower on October 10, 2020, as a way to help new and expecting parents in our community.
TRUNK OR TREAT
October 31, 2020
On Halloween, Nashville’s Metro Police Department came to Plaza Mariachi for a “Trunk or Treat” event. The police officers had candy in the trunks of their cars that they handed out to children who came here that day for the event.
We are proud to be a part of the community.
All of us at Plaza Mariachi live and work in the surrounding area and take pride in making a positive impact in our community. Some of the community outreach programs we have conducted include; food drives, trunk or treat for the children, community baby showers, community health fair, and back to school events providing backpacks and school utensils to area children.
